Privacy Notice

1. Data Controller

Studio Maré, operator of the Sprezz platform, is the controller of account holder personal data. You remain responsible for the content you choose to publish on your public profile page.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, password hash, username, and profile settings.
• Published profile content and media you upload.
• Profile analytics: page views and outbound link clicks (timestamp and link URL only — no visitor identity or IP address). On Pro plans, we also show you which other users saved your public profile, using information from their public profiles (display name, username, avatar, and job title).
• AI profile import: if you use Build with AI, we temporarily store a structured draft of extracted experience, education, projects, and skills. Uploaded PDF/DOCX source files are not stored.
• Billing data (handled by Paddle as merchant of record).
• Contact and newsletter submissions, if you choose to send them.

3. How we use it

To provide the service, authenticate accounts, send transactional emails (sign-in links, account notifications, password resets), bill subscriptions, run optional AI-assisted profile import, show profile analytics to account owners, and improve the product.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

• Contract: processing needed to create and run your account, host your profile, and deliver paid features.
• Legitimate interests: securing the platform, preventing abuse, and measuring aggregate profile performance (views and link clicks) without identifying visitors.
• Consent: optional features such as newsletter signup and AI profile import when you choose to use them.

5. Sharing

We share data with the following processors and recipients:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• OpenAI — AI profile import (see section 6).
• Paddle — payment processing and billing (merchant of record).
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Render — application hosting.

We do not sell personal data.

6. AI profile import

If you choose Build with AI during onboarding, we extract text from your uploaded PDF/DOCX or pasted resume text on our servers. That text is sent to OpenAI to generate a structured draft of your work history, education, projects, and skills. The AI is instructed to extract factual information only; you review and edit the draft before anything is published.

• Uploaded source files are processed in memory and are not stored.
• The structured draft is stored in our database for up to 24 hours so you can review it, then expires automatically.
• Deleting your account removes any stored drafts immediately.

7. Cookies

We use essential session and authentication cookies only (via Supabase) to keep you signed in and protect your account. We do not use advertising or third-party marketing cookies. Session cookies typically last for the duration of your browser session or until you sign out.

8. Retention

We retain account data while the account is active. AI import drafts expire after 24 hours. When you delete your account from Account settings, we remove your profile, portfolio content, and associated data from our systems, subject to short backup retention cycles.

9. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your data. You can delete your account at any time from Account settings in the dashboard. For other requests, contact support@sprezz.studio.

If you are in the European Economic Area and believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. In the Netherlands, this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

10. International transfers

Our processors may store or process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States (Supabase, OpenAI, Paddle, Resend, and Render). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses offered by our providers.

11. Refunds

You may request a refund of your most recent subscription payment within 14 days. Contact support@sprezz.studio and we will process eligible refunds via Paddle.
